Plywood is a three-layer or multi-layer board like material made by rotary cutting wooden sections into veneers or by planing wooden blocks into thin pieces, and then bonding them together with adhesive. It is usually made of odd numbered veneers and bonded together with adjacent layers of veneers with their fiber directions perpendicular to each other.
Plywood is one of the commonly used materials for furniture and one of the three major types of artificial boards. It can also be used as a functional material for airplanes, ships, trains, automobiles, construction, and packaging boxes.
The usual length and width specifications are 1220 × 2440mm, while thickness specifications generally include 3, 5, 9, 12, 15, 18mm, etc. The main tree species include: beech, camphor, willow, poplar, eucalyptus, etc.
